Welcome to SettleMate: Split Expenses. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SettleMate mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by RHD Studio.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using SettleMate, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activities conducted through your account.
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information.
• Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized account access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
• Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
• Collect or store other users' information without consent.
• Create false, misleading, or fraudulent expense records.
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the Service.

4. Expense Tracking Disclaimer

SettleMate is an expense-sharing and record-keeping tool only. We are not a bank, financial institution, payment processor, or money transfer service.

Any balances, debts, settlements, or calculations shown within the Service are provided for informational purposes only. Users are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all financial information and completing actual payments outside the Service.

5. Group Management

Users may create or join expense-sharing groups. By participating in a group, you acknowledge that certain information may be visible to other group members, including:

• Your name and profile picture.
• Expenses you create.
• Settlement records you enter.
• Group activity logs related to your actions.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content, information, images, comments, or data submitted through the Service.

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, and display such content solely for the operation and improvement of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, logos, graphics, trademarks, and content, is owned by or licensed to RHD Studio and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Service without prior written permission.

8. Advertising

SettleMate may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob or other advertising partners.

We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, quality, legality, or reliability of any third-party advertisements, products, or services displayed within the Service.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using SettleMate, you consent to the collection and processing of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable access to the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that may harm the Service, other users, or our business.

Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service will end immediately.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, availability, or suitability of the Service.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RHD Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, financial losses, service interruptions, or disputes between users.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted within the Service with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
